Lacroix will be participating in EXPODEFENSA 2021

Lacroix has been a player for many years on the South American market in general and Colombian in particular, and will once again be attending the EXPODEFENSA trade show from November 29 to December 1, 2021 at the Corferias exhibition center in Bogota.

This event was initially launched in 2009 to present the capabilities of the Colombian Ministry of Defense. Over the years, it has become the main meeting point for actors in the fields of defense and security in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly since 2015 with the MINDEFENSA (CODALTEC)-CORFERIAS-COGES alliance. It is therefore a perfect opportunity for professionals from all over the world to showcase their systems and products to a growing regional market. The main objective of Expodefensa is to help governments and armed forces face challenges in terms of capability and in their operations, while acting for a safer region.

Lacroix will showcase products on the French pavilion in partnership with the COGES, and present its latest technological innovations, as well as a new service offer.

Lacroix: Pyrotechnic integrator in the defense and aerospace fields

Lacroix offers a complete range of self-protection systems, training systems and pyromechanisms to the Armed Forces in France and abroad. This offer also includes services such as in-use product maintenance, optimized ammunition management, realistic and secure training solutions and training in the handling, storage and transport of pyrotechnic products.

Specialist in the self-protection of Land-Air-Sea platforms

As the historical supplier of Infrared (IR) and Electromagnetic (EM) countermeasures for the French Air Force, with for example the specific pyrotechnic decoys of the Mirage and Rafale, Lacroix offers an extensive range of countermeasure solutions. The protection of fighter aircraft, transport aircraft and helicopters is thus ensured by a range of IR decoys based on MTV, Spectral or kinematic technologies, and on EM decoys such as chaff. They are available in various formats (40/60mm, 50mm, 1x1 inch, 1x2 inch) to fit all platforms. Lacroix also offers an extensive range of tracking flares to increase the IR signature of training targets.

In the Land segment, Lacroix will present the GALIX series, including screening ammunition (smoke grenades) and systems (sensors/control box/effector). This system is certified and used in operation in France as well as in many other countries, it is a reference in the field of Soft Kill: a very high screening performance in the Visible/IR/Laser range coupled with an ultra-fast reaction time and an extended duration of effect allows the GALIX system to provide reinforced self-protection to platforms and onboard crews. At the trade show, the Lacroix teams will be delighted to present the latest developments of this system, including the Galix A&N (Acoustic & Navigation) series, a combination of the GALIX effectors with the METRAVIB detection product range. A solution dedicated to training in the same area will also be presented, with the SPHINX system and its smoke and/or sound cartridges designed to recreate realistic pyrotechnical effects.

In the Sea segment, Lacroix will particularly focus on the presentation of the SYLENA decoy launcher system and its latest generation SEACLAD ammunition. The SYLENA range of launchers, including the LW, MK1 and MK2 versions, are designed to protect most ships from corvettes to frigates with decoys that counter the latest generation of electromagnetic, infrared or dual guidance threats. The SYLENA MK2 system also allows the transport of an anti-torpedo solution, thus providing a full protection of the vessel. Finally, the naval product range also includes underwater bombs (signals for submarines) and marine location markers (MLM).

Come and meet the LACROIX team on the French pavilion.
